This webinar took place on Wednesday 20th September 2023. You can buy the recording and shared resources/pitching samples by adding this webinar to your basket.
NOTE: Anyone who registers for any webinar will receive a recording and any resources within one week of the live session.
In this session, travel editors Lyn Hughes from Wanderlust magazine, Ellie Cobb from BBC Travel, Grace Beard from Time Out Travel and Meera Dattani from Adventure.com discussed the fine art of pitching, and what editors (and their team) really need to know. Plus, how to follow up on pitches and plenty of dos and don’ts of this all-important but often frustrating process in travel writing.
This was the first in a series of webinars curated and hosted by travel journalist and editor Meera Dattani in collaboration with Talking Travel Writing, the Substack newsletter that promises to demystify the travel media for freelancers forging a career in travel writing. The second webinar, How to write travel features to wow your editor (and get re-commissioned…), took place on Wednesday 29th November 2023 and can also be purchased.
